In

This poem is dedicated to Loneliness, whenever and in whatever form it may come.

Strangers may come,
and friends may go
Endless arguments,
you may lose; or win.
To the greatest heights
you may yet grow;
With or without
some growth within.

But everything that starts
must inevitably slow
Once-rapid rivers
end with weary flow.
Your magnificent walls
now reveal a crack.
Tiny weeds show signs
of creeping back.
Your pillars of support
have broken thin.
Only silence, where
once laughter's been.
Then for truest peace
you'll finally know,
There's nowhere else
in the world to go,
But in.
