I lose my way, I confess;
At times in my pursuit of happiness.
I've run into a blind end or two
But then also, I've run into you.
There've been moments of reason missed
In the haze of ego, but I insist,
The bad choices made have helped me more
Than the better ones I did ignore.
My heart's now steady, my mind, sound.
My feet, usually near the ground.
I cannot promise to be eternally good;
But on the whole, I must conclude
For every wrong I may have done
The rights still outnumber every one.
